Day 31 of our trip out west had us leaving Red Lodge via the Beartooth Pass. There was so much snow that we decided to have a summer solstice snowball fight!

Today’s Highlights: Limping into town with Evie. Getting a rental car. Using redbox for the first time. Staying in a Kamping Kabin. We woke up early, worked on packing up and started to call car places. The “foreign auto” place was closed for the weekend, but eventually, Rob got ahold of a car repair place.

Day 26 took us to Wyoming and Idaho and then back to Wyoming. We drove through snow and an elkhorn arch. Evie broke down in front of our KOA in Jackson, WY.

Day 25 of our trip took us from Moab, through Dinosaur, CO, to Vernal UT. We enjoyed the pictographs along the highway and in Dinosaur National Monument.

Day 24 brought us from Goblin Valley, through Green River, over to Arches National Park and then into Moab.
Out West Trip: Day 24 (Goblin Valley, UT to Moab, UT)
Today’s Highlights: A nice cafe for brunch. Watching the Green River flow past the JW Powell museum. Climbing around the arches in Arches. Going to a real grocery store. We woke amongst the goblins. Apparently the campground was low on water as the water pressure was low — toilets wouldn’t flush and showers didn’t work.

Day 23: Left Bryce, headed through Capitol Reef NP and ended up amongst the goblins.

Today’s Highlights: A scenic drive though landscape that changed every fifteen minutes from red to white to gray to tan and from sand dunes to green alpine forests. Day 22 brought us through Zion and on to Bryce. We decided to spend the night at Bryce instead of the state park as I had planned. Beautiful place!

Day 20 of our out west trip brought us from just outside Yosemite, through the desert, over the Hoover Dam and onto the strip in Las Vegas.
