Today’s Highlights: A nice cafe for brunch. Watching the Green River flow past the JW Powell museum. Climbing around the arches in Arches. Going to a real grocery store.
We woke amongst the goblins. Apparently the campground was low on water as the water pressure was low — toilets wouldn’t flush and showers didn’t work. We had some quick oatmeal then packed up and headed out. We stopped for a wifi/brunch at the Green River Cafe; a wonderful place to stop. We crossed the Green River and stopped at the John Wesley Powell Museum. Chloe and Rob went to the museum while Camille and I stayed outside and watched the very swollen river carry logs by. We then headed down to Arches National Park where we spotted a Rhode Island license plate! We also got to see the arches. We went on one hike around the north and south arch; Chloe spotted a spotted lizard. After visiting a few more spots, we left the park and headed into Moab to the City Market, where we stocked up on food, then to the state liquor store, since the grocery stores in UT sell only 3-2 beer.
As soon as we got to the RV park, the girls and I headed off to the pool. The water was cold, but it was refreshing after a hot day! We had burgers and corn for dinner at our site. Rob and Camille worked on laundry and moved to a better wi-fi signal while I did some computer stuff and hung out with Chloe.
