Tomorrow is the day that we sign the contracts to buy our new condo. Things really are moving forward FAST!

Downsizing is moving forward quite nicely. I’ve listed a bunch more on the downsize blog, and lots of things have been placed on hold, bought or taken. Our bedroom set and the porch furniture are the only big pieces of furniture that have been listed and still remain. My friend posted a picture of my beloved table in its new home; it looks just lovely. I’ll miss it, but it looks great there.

Today, Camille’s bed and shelf and the shelf from our closet may be heading out the door. Slowly, but surely, things are moving along.

Our garage sale yesterday helped us clear out a bunch of stuff, so we now have room to go through the downstairs rooms and put out more stuff to get rid of. I’ll get to listing more stuff later, I hope.

I have plans for what to buy for the new condo — why does downsizing involve *buying* new stuff? Oh well.

We have movers scheduled for ten days from now. They will only be moving the big pieces of furniture. All the stuff? We’ll move bit by bit, hopefully even further reducing what comes with us.

There will be another garage sale in a few weeks. After that, I’ll have to see if I want to have another sale or instead just donate everything that’s left.

This weekend is one of the very best in Pine Lake, Lakefest. Camille has a booth selling knit pouches. Chloe has been taking off on her bike down to the festival all on her own. Chloe won the sandcastle building contest and got her face painted. Food, friends and music are overflowing. Breaks my heart to leave this lovely little community. But, I’m keeping in mind the reasons for our move, and still know that it is the right thing for us to do.
