Nineteen days sounds like a terribly long time, but I suppose with all the changes we’re making, it really isn’t that long at all.

Only a week ago we signed the contract for the condo. In that time we’ve made three trips to IKEA, assembled a whole lot of furniture, painted the girls’ room, gotten the emissions checked on our (three!) cars, changed our address on our driver’s licenses, enrolled Chloe in school, moved a good deal of our stuff, and found our way out of a corn maze. Yes, in the midst of moving, we found time for our annual fall trip up to Blue Ridge!

More furniture has been sold off and taken by those who have claimed it. The pile in the garage is growing and growing. It is far past time for me to work on updating the Mission Downsize blog! I have *SO* much more that I need to find new homes for — furniture, kids’ stuff, books, and more.

But I’ve been caught up in getting the new place ready for what’s left of our stuff and getting our stuff over there.

Tomorrow, Chloe starts school. A HUGE change for us. Neither girl has ever been to school. Our travel will be severely limited. We’ll have homework and bedtimes to contend with. But Chloe is just so excited about her new adventure, and I’m hoping it will be a wonderful one for her.
