Today we packed. We sure are excited. We are heading, for the fourth year in a row, to Brooklyn! Brooklyn you ask? Yep, my birthplace. But that’s not why we make our (now) annual pilgrimage.
As you likely are aware, we run a kids’ music blog and streaming radio station gooney bird kids. We love the “kindie” genre of music and all the joy it has brought us. Not just great music, but great trips for concerts, great friends, and great opportunities!
In 2007, we took the overnight train to NYC and went to the evening long Spare the Rock Hootenany.
In 2008, we took the overnight train to NYC and went to the evening long STINK showcase.
In 2009, we took the early train from DC and went to the day long STINKfest.
In 2010, we are FLYING to JFK, for the THREE DAY(!), Kindiefest.
The evolution of the Brooklyn gathering, not to mention the genre, has been fascinating to us. And we so look forward to catching up with old friends as well as finally meeting our “online” kindie friends as well as three days of great kids’ music. I know we are going to have an amazing time.
