the girls and I have some favorite things. one is to go to Ralph’s World concerts. Another is to go to concerts at XM radio in Washington, DC. I went back and forth on whether to make the trip this year (we did last year, but had the added bonus of seeing Rob who was living in DC).
I had pretty much decided to not make the trip when I mentioned it to Chloe. She was so excited and insisted we go. That was enough to swing the decision the other way. So Friday night, after a 4am wake up call and 10+ hours of driving, we were in the Rumpus Room … and we had a blast. We met up with some friends, got to see Aunt Mindy and just enjoy being in such a fun place. Ralph and the guys played some new songs, which was an extra special treat. After the show, Chloe gave Ralph the hugest hug ever.
As usual, we closed down the place, but this time took the shuttle to the station — the neighborhood is a bit unsavory, especially at night.
