Last night we headed out of the heart of DC, straight into the heart of Philly. The hotel is wonderfully located, so we left the car there and walked over to World Cafe Live after swimming and breakfast.
WCL hosts a fantastic series of kids’ show called “Peanut Butter and Jams” and it seems everybody who is anybody has played their. On the bill today was one of our god friends, Uncle Rock!
The concert was great fun; the room was open and airy and wonderful for a kids’ concert (though I guess the concerts are normally elsewhere in the building). A big buffet is available (but we had already eaten). We got there early and had a great table up front.
Both girls enjoyed the concert, featuring Uncle Rock, a friend of his and also his son, in their own way. Chloe rocked out, bouncing and banging her head. Camille sat quietly, taking it all in. Uncle Rock played Chloe’s request, “Sugar Talkin'” as well as our favorite, “Rock n Roll Babysitter.”
It was great to see Uncle Rock again, and we hope we will another chance to see him very soon!
