For the third year in a row (2007 and 2008), we headed to Brooklyn to the gathering of the “kindie” music scene, now called now called kindiefest.
What fun it was to see so many of our favorite musicians and our online friends all gathered in one spot! The girls got the chance to participate in a songwriting workshop and perform on stage with the lead singers from Lunch Money and The Jimmies. We caught up with Ralph, Tom and Michael (Ralph’s World). Chloe hung out with her “BFF and a half” (Absolutely Mindy). I sat on the floor next to Dan Zanes.
What a blast! The panels were enlightening, the music was fabulous and the people were wonderfully kind and seem so eager to make the genre as a whole be such a positive, supportive one.
