a few weeks ago, Rob was debating what to use his REI dividend on. My answer: a new bike for Camille! Chloe learned to bike a couple of months ago and has been asking to 
go out on her bike all the time. Camille hated biking, and I was sure that if she had a bike that didn’t look like a clown bike and had gears, she’d enjoy biking a whole lot more. and I was right.
Chloe’s worked hard to learn to push off and has been developing her “hill” skills lately. Unfortunately, our street is the main route out of Pine Lake (at least it is one way), and cars sometimes drive a bit fast crossing the blind hill just before our house. So when the girls ride in the street in front of our house, they have to be extra careful of cars coming up over the hill.
The other day, they were riding with their friend, and they decided to put in a bike lane using sidewalk chalk. I wonder what would happen if we did this to every street in Pine Lake….could be fun, at least until it rains.
