This past weekend, Chloe ahd her very first gymnastics meet! And, luckily for her, it was at her gym, so she didn’t have far to go or use equipment that she’s not used to.
While I arrived at the gym around 7am, Chloe didn’t need to be there until after 10. Her coaches performed magic on her hair, then she was ready o warm up with all the other gymnasts. Finally around 1pm, she got to compete! Months of hard work, and she was out there for under ten minutes — she competed in vault, bars, beam and floor.
And she did great! I didn’t write down her scores, alas. Since the medals are given out for a Level/Age bracket and there were only three girls at her level that were 9 and older, she medaled in everything, even placing first in a couple and first overall as well!
She is so proud of what she’s accomplished!
