diamorpha babies.
While this spring was chaotic and difficult so I never made it out to see the diamorpha in full bloom, I did get out to Arabia in January and February and saw the babies. Maybe I’ll get to see them next spring ….
winter green.
Arabia is now turning red and white with diamorpha, but I also love the winter greens on the mountain!
heart’s home.
Over the years, I’ve found that my heart has a few homes. Not just one, and not necessarily the one I live in. I have some favorite places – XM in DC is always a place that make my heart feel alive and happy (my “happy place”). I could add a few others to that
happiness project: RELAX and REFLECT (2018)
Here we are closing up the year 2017. And as people do, I’m thinking about what has gone by and how to plan for the new year ahead. 2017 was my year of THRIVE and TRAVEL. I did not travel as much as I had hoped, but I am actually not too sad about it.

I love the tiny worlds of my Arabia!

One of my goals is to learn more about the flora an fauna of Arabia. I have picked up a few things, but I have so very much to learn. Ranger Robby knows it all, but I am a slow learner. i am happy that I now know when to expect these tiny beauties to
ownself. – 20 jul 2017
I’m terrible at self-care. I let everyone’s needs and wants come before mine. I need to start standing up for what I want more and stop trying to be so considerate of everyone else that I don’t get to do the things I want to do.
happy birthday!
Of course we have no idea what their birthdays actually are, but we declared July 4th as Gazoo’s birthday based on the vet’s estimate. And then When Phelix joined the family 5 years later, he was also thought to have been born in July, so we gave him a July 4th birthday as well. Gazoo

dreaming of fall.
It’s been a lovely few days, but life has gotten in the way of my hikes at Arabia these past few months. Hoping things will settle down next fall, and I will be able to get back out to the mountain once again.
look up (and swing).
Only 3 or 4 months before I can get back to Arabia…. Trying to keep up and get ahead during the hot summer months so that I will be ready!
look up (again).
Looking up at Arabia. I can’t wait until fall comes around again!

off trail (don’t worry).
Chloe and I headed out early (early for her … but I had been up for hours already) and managed to get to the Aware lot while it was still mostly empty. A quick hike up to the top of the mountain…where I found *another* tennis ball for the boy. We then went off-trail down
