Chloe and I headed out early (early for her … but I had been up for hours already) and managed to get to the Aware lot while it was still mostly empty. A quick hike up to the top of the mountain…where I found *another* tennis ball for the boy.
We then went off-trail down to the Mountain Lake trail — where the pup played and played with his ball, even swimming out into the lake to retrieve it. Until he lost it. We followed the trail around until the old road where we left the trail and made our way to the dishwasher graveyard and the stone stacks (the one I found two weeks ago had been knocked over).
Chloe got worried about being off-trail, but I reminded her — we can backtrack. I see houses. I know we are close to the trail back to the car…..
The pup? Just comes alive in his happy place ….
And then I found us a new off-trail spot … A lovely not-stricly-but-caters-to vegetarian place on Main Street Lithonia….
