As I wrote a week or two ago, this year, I’m not writing the letter. I’ve done it for a number of years now. I do it because I so love reading letters from other families. More interesting than a store bought card or a photo card, at least for me.
But this year I’m not writing it. The Christmas season is too stressful for me. Last year I felt the pressure of getting the carda and letters out all the way into the new year (because that’s when I finally got it done). Purchasing gifts is such an extreme challenge for me. I just don’t have a skill in picking out gifts. The idea of buying gifts for people makes me want to curl up in a corner and cry.
So this year, I’m giving myself a break form the cards, and by doing that, I managed to get them into the mail a couple of weeks before Christmas! Hooray! Now, if i could only figure out how to take the stress out of gift giving…
