Chloe's Audiotour

School is back in session, even in our homeschool household. Despite this, many of our other activities have not started up, leaving us with a little bit of free time. We’ve been taking advantage of these extra hours to explore local attractions and museums.

Yesterday, as we had errands to run in Decatur anyway, we decided to return to the Carlos Museum at Emory University. From their website:

The Carlos Museum has grown to become one of the Southeast’s premier art museums with major collections of art objects from ancient Egypt, Nubia, Near East, Greece, Rome, ancient Americas, Africa, and Asia, as well as a collection of works on paper from the Renaissance to the present.

Generally, I avoid the audiotours when we go to museums. The headphones don’t fit the kids’ heads well, the girls get tired of carrying them after a while, and, if we are all wearing headphones, we can’t easily discuss what we are seeing. Yesterday, Chloe chose to use the audiotour, and I was pleasantly surprised that she was able to wear the headphones and actually learned something from listening to the guide. (I still was frustrated that we couldn’t easily talk about what we were seeing.)

This is an entry for Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday.
