today was one of those great days. everything went more smoothly than could possibly be expected. we drove through Charlotte in rush hour and didn’t get stuck in any traffic. We had money left on our Smartrips cards, so we didn’t have to wait in the long line to refill them. our hotel room looks out over XM.
this evening, we went to see Justin Roberts at the XM Rumpus Room … we were there just last week to see The Verve Pipe, but here were are, back again. Justin was there (obviously), Mindy was there, some Rumpus Room friends were there. We were overtired from a long day; there was so much going on, plus Chloe was pulling on me to “watch this”. I could not concentrate on any one thing and felt that I managed to not nurture a single one of the connections and relationships that I was involved in at the moment.
Maybe everyone felt the chaos of the time and place. I’m thrilled we went and loved every minute of it…. But I am going to practice not dropping all the bean bags while juggling.
