While out and about today, I spotted an old friend. I almost went around the block to see if it really was who I thought it was. Even if it wasn’t that old friend, I enjoyed reminiscing about all of our fun times together.
My old Subaru wagon took me and the girls on trip after trip – multiple trips to Chicago, Texas, Florida, DC, and so many other places as we traveled around the country going to concerts and adventure after adventure. Days on the road with the girls working on their homeschooling while I watched the odometer spin.
I’m grateful to our old friend for safely carting us around for over a decade. Maybe I’ll slow down the next time I drive down that street and see if it really is my old car. Or maybe I won’t.
