I had a vague idea of staying somewhere “different” on our trip up north. Harrisburg, PA, seemed like a great distance to go in one day – more than halfway, but not exhausting. We hit a little weather and got in a hour or so later than planned. I hadn’t planned on going to Hershey park at all. Partway up, I thought to look to see if there was a gift store that we could visit without going to the theme park. Ha ha ha ha! Not a gift store. A chocolate mega-store! While we picked out some gifts and treats, Chloe spotted the coasters. Then she dragged me to see what a ticket would cost. An after-hours ticket wasn’t exorbitant.And the crowds were headed out. So, against my better judgement, I left Chloe at the park and headed to the motel to check-in and change my headlight bulb….
Usually on trips we have a terribly tight schedule, but I am trying to not make such tight deadlines. And Chloe appreciates it.
