Camille had a few Rhode Island schools on her list at the start, but by the time we made our plans to visit the northeast, only one was left. Brown University. Urban campus, good academic reputation, a nice fit for what she wants. I thought we were going to not like it. I really did. But then we sat on the lawn. We went to the information session. We took a tour. And we both came away really liking it. The campus vibe was fantastic. Students working in groups. A sense of activism. An open curriculum. Problem is that it is impossible for even the best of students to get in, not to mention the high price tag. We’ll see!
