A school that has been high on Camille’s list and was one of the main reasons for us coming up north to visit colleges is Bryn Mawr. We booked a room at the Wyndham Alumnae House right on campus so we could maximize our time spent there. After getting our room, we took a long stroll around the campus. Camille fell in love with the campus, just as she thought she would. Moved the school right up to the top. In the morning after breakfast, we walked over to admissions for an info session, the tour, and Camille’s interview. And then the school fell. We are still trying to figure out what it was that found us questioning it as a good choice for her, but there was something a bit off-putting about the visit in the end. We’ll see if we can understand what made us not feel that it is a perfect fit. Who knows, it might still rank high in the end, once we’ve wrestled with it.
We also drove through Haverford College (Bryn Mawr’s partner school) on the way out of town.
