There’s nothing that I love to do more when in Paris than walk, especially if I am there on my own. I could walk and walk. Sometimes I enjoy visiting a museum or a monument, but mostly I prefer to just walk. The sights, the sounds, the smells. The people watching.
I woke early, but took time to take care of a bunch of things before heading out. I walked up to Bastille, then along Richard Lenoir until I got to the canal. I walked for a ways along the canal, but then started to ache and get quite tired, so I took the Metro back to Place d’Italie and went grocery shopping. It was almost 4pm by the time I returned. I took care of a bunch of things, took a nap, then took care of more things. It was a nice relaxing day in Paris.
