As the time for my trip to France approached, the weather reports were getting worse and worse. Rain, rain, and rain for my weekend in Cannes, where I had planned to be outside the whole time. While it was raining when I landed much later than expected, Saturday morning was cloudy, but not rainy. I took advantage of the weather and headed out for my first walk. I didn’t venture very far from the hotel in case the rain came but did have lots of time to wander along the Promenade by the beach and watch the preparations for the big convention party.
