Today is National Parfait Day.
Slept in a bit as I’ve gotten exhausted. After a little reading and breakfast, it was time to tackle the final downstairs rooms. But work was stopped as we realized that there was a septic tank issue. The septic guys came right away and cleared out the roots that were blocking the pipes. Barbara and I made a run into town to drop of piles of stuff at the thrift store, trash at the dump, and pies at the high school. Rob fixed the fireplace and cleaned the skylights. The girls helped a little with the cooking; Camille did some homework. I finally was able to stop and shower and relax a little after cleaning the kitchen floor. Suze and Luis arrived, and we had dinner. I went to bed earlier hoping to not be so exhausted.
