Been a while since my last book update. My trip to France put everything else on hold, and I’m now slowly getting back into the rhythm of ordering books from the library and reading them ….

In the past couple of weeks, I finished two books. One I bought in the airport in Paris to get me through my trip home: The Woman Who Stole My Life by Marian Keyes; a nice light, engaging read … perfect for an airplane or the beach. The other was recommended by a co-worker as a humorous take on the online engagement of today’s professionals. While she called it “Tech Bitch”, here in the US it is called The Knockoff by Lucy Sykes and Jo Piazza. Very cute.

I am still slowly making my way through The College Solution: A Guide for Everyone Looking for the Right School at the Right Price (2nd Edition) by Lynn O’Shaughnessy and Colleges That Change Lives: 40 Schools That Will Change the Way You Think About Colleges by Loren Pope. I think soon we’ll be using all the information we’ve gleamed from these.

While in France, I have read another couple of chapters of The Old Ways: A Journey on Foot by Robert Macfarlane. I was in the perfect spot to read it, which seems to be in order. Not a book to be rushed through, but one to be enjoyed in the right context.

Yesterday was library day, and a whole slew of books arrived. A few that I will start this week:

I keep a list of completed books on Goodreads. I also keep one here on my blog.
