My parents arrived a bit after noon. Phelix was over the moon to see his grandparents! And then a “hike”, even if urban, could not be beat! When we got back from our Decatur adventures, the poor, exhausted puppy passed out on the couch for the rest of the day.

I did my monthly back up of Google drive, phone and then computer. I’m sure a few things get lost in the cracks, but I really feel better now that I’ve managed to free up enough space in my life to make monthly backups possible.

Finished The Magician King by Lev Grossman. While these books are not a quick read, I find them to be masterpieces. I don’t know why exactly, but both books I’ve read in the trilogy have been amazing. I almost want to by the whole set to read again!

Started reading Walking Home: A Pilgrimage from Humbled to Healed by Sonia Choquette. I’ve added to my bucket list of walking adventures. It was the C&O Canal and Hadrian’s Wall, but now it also includes “El Camino”.

I was supposed to do my Photo Friday post on Friday, but I got caught up in other things, so I just published it today … photo friday: skating at rockefeller center. It is mid-February and I am only slowly making my way through our Thanksgiving week in NYC … I hope I’ll get done with NYC before our next big adventure! (Probably Ireland … the kids don’t like to GO as much as we used to.)
