Today is National Peppermint Patty Day & Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Day.
While I didn’t spill any milk, I did get a Peppermint Patty!
Early this morning, I made a big accomplishment at work — I was able to generate documentation directly from Python source code! I followed the instructions from How to generate sphinx documentation for python code running in an embedded system and used the test file from 2: Create an API Doc using Sphinx. I had to make a few tries, but I got it working!
To celebrate my achievement and to reward myself for breathing deeply, meditating the anxiety away by reminding myself that I am under no time pressure to make it work so if it doesn’t work right away it’s okay, and just getting down to business, I decided Phelix and I should head out to Arabia Mountain for our weekly walk. When I got out the backpack and said “Want to go for a hike?”, Phelix jumped off the futon and came close to doing backflips he was so excited!
In the evening, I walked over to the Decatur Rec Center for the monthly Downtown Decatur Neighbors meeting. I’ve recently started to update the Twitter and Facebook for this new neighborhood association. On the way home from the meeting, I walked by the people camping out on the square in support of the investigation into Kevin Davis’s death.
