One of our traditions as of late has been to go on a hike, even if a short one, on New Year’s Day. With the girls both sick and my not having had enough hours of sleep, I wasn’t in the mood to head out, but my mom pushed me out the door. Phelix had a wonderful time splashing in the creek and chasing sticks. A lovely nap followed the short hike, so all was well in the end.
