Having loved our visits to Hogsmeade at Universal, the moment we heard about Diagon Alley opening, we put a trip on our plans. As with our past trips, we decided to go during the girls’ September break. The parks are at their least crowded since most of the rest of the country is just back to school. Reading about SEVEN hour lines for the Gringotts ride was confirmation that we needed to wait until September!

Wow. We thought that Hogsmeade was amazing, but Diagon Alley? Simply stupendous. The attention to detail, the little things that catch your eye in addition to all the bigger attractions. And the Gringotts ride? No seven hour wait. At most we waited 30 minutes. And most of the time we didn’t have any wait at all.

We chose the two-day/two-park tickets not just because we wanted to go to both Universal parks, but also because that is the only way to ride the Hogwarts Express between Kings Cross by Diagon Alley to Hogsmeade. And Hogsmeade, fun as always!

I’m very thankful for our September break, giving us the chance to go “off-season” even though the girls are no longer homeschooling!
