Up at 4:30am so the girls could get ready to head out the door by 6am. We got Poppy parked at Union Station, had a quick cup of coffee and then rode Metro over to the White House for our 7:30am tour. Some waiting, lots of security, but it was nice to get inside – our only Obama spotting was of the dogs. From there, we went and had a nice breakfast, then ran to the car for bags and cameras and to our Capitol tour. A few Smithsonians later, a stop at Forever 21 and a comic book store, and then back to the car. We drove out to Second Story Books, where Camille picked out a few things. Back at the hotel, we had some snacks and went to bed.
