This year, as last year, Chloe’s meets are in the first few months of the year from January to April (next year they will probably be in the fall). While we have a basic calendar of when her meets will be, we only know which weekend. We don’t know until about a week before whether the meet will be on Friday, Saturday or Sunday not what time. She might have to be there at 6:30am or she might have to be there at 3pm. The meets are mostly in the greater metro Atlanta area, but she’s been to Athens and Bainbridge for meets as well.Very often, the meets are in another gym – often uncomfortable bleacher seating for the parents who have to be there for *hours*. There’s hair to do, stretching, warm-ups, the four events and then the awards.
This latest meet was then an easy one. We had to be at the Crowne Plaza by Perimeter Mall at 1:30pm. Close by, not too early, not too late. And I was able to find a nice chair in the lobby to sit in and work until the meet started at 4pm. Chloe did great in all her events, placing first on floor and 4th all-around!
