We’ve had various versions of Yule and Winter Solstice parties in the past. Big gatherings with lots of people and small family gatherings. While I wouldn’t mind having some large gatherings again, I did enjoy our party last week. Camille and I made chili, greens and cornbread. Camille, mostly on her own, made a lovely chocolate yule log from scratch. We carried our meal out to the pool deck for some winter nighttime dining in the high 60s! Claire joined us for our meal and festivities …
After dinner, we moved over to the fire to have our yule log and play a game — unfortunately, the wind picked up and our game had to be called off midway.
When we got home, the sink had collapsed under the anxiety of facing all the dirty dishes we had created?!?
