Happiness Project: Mindfulness Practice Week 2

Over the past month or two, I have been considering items from the 22 Things Happy People Do Differently.

Of course, as these things go, things change. I’ve found a new, better list. And while the lists are helpful, strangely enough, my reading The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People: Powerful Lessons in Personal Change by Stephen Covey has brought me far more understanding of how I should be redirecting my life. I’m not doing a great job of it — tonight I skipped an interesting event at the local library because I “have too much to do”. That’s exactly where I *don’t* want to be.

In any case, the new “habits” list I found is 25 Habits Of People Who Are Happy, Healthy & Successful.

The first item is:
1. They don’t hold grudges.
I worked on that earlier and continue to try to let go and not dwell on things that bring me down.

The second item is:
2. They think outside of the box.
Now that’s a challenge. I like to think that I do think outside the box, but perhaps I don’t as often as I should. I’m not sure how one can work on this, other than to give a bit more time and “relaxed brain” to issues as they arise.
