For the past few years, Lake Blue Ridge hasn’t been much of a lake. It has been, in varying degrees, a big ol’ mudhole.
For example, as I worked on our 2010 photo album (I’m slowly working my way backwards through time on my photo album project and have almost completed my sixth album now), I came across this photo:

But now, at long last, there’s high water again!! Today we went for a little hike with Phelix the dog … He just can’t get enough of the water!! Later int he day, we returned to the lake, this time to the beach at Morganton Point. While the beach was sandy and nice … it was also crazy crowded for a Wednesday afternoon!!
