What a week fo Phelix! It started out a bit boring at first, but on Thursday, he GRADUATED! He still has a lot of work to do on many of his commands, but he’s come a long, long way. He is getting better and better about not having accidents and “dropping” things that he picks up in his mouth. He’s not very good about “Come”, “Stay” and “Place”, but we’ll work on them.

Phelix barks when he hears knocking or a doorbell on tv. Whenever anyone new comes into the condo, he has to get to know them, barking until he’s satisfied that he’s been well-introduced.

The BIG excitement was that we took Phelix camping at the beach! He did great on the 5.5 hour car trip — he slept in his crate the whole trip there.

But the BEACH! He LOVED it. Chasing the waves, watching the birds, digging in the sand, crunching on the washed up marsh grasses, and more. He could not get enough of it. Thankfully, playing at the beach tired him out, and he slept all night long on his crate in Evie.

In the campsite, he barked a bit, but quieted down. He also dug a pit inside his pen. What a huge hole he created!
