While we were up in Blue Ridge for our traditional New Year’s Eve celebrations, we had a bit of a surprise — SNOW! Given the warm temperatures we’ve been having, I had assumed that we would not see any white stuff in Georgia this winter. While the snow was barely more than a dusting and melted within a couple days, it was nice to have even the little bit of white.
This is an entry for Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday.
Oh, my kids are just dying for some snow here in Maryland. What a fun surprise for new year’s. What part of the Blue Ridge? I went to school near Skyline Drive (Va) and I am anxious to plan a family trip….it is all such a beautiful part of the world. The Blue Ridge will always have a special place in my heart since they were the first mountains I ever saw…big deal for a Cajun girl from south Louisiana!
Blue Ridge as in the city of Blue Ridge, GA….
I love Skyline Drive — so beautiful!
Very picturesque! And you’re right – not too common in Georgia, I suppose!
