While my heart’s home is Pine Lake, tonight I was reminded again why I decided to move here.
Camille and I headed out a little after 6pm and first stopped at CVS across the street to get some photos made. We then continued on down the block to Dancing Goats to pick up some coffee and sat outside with a little treat for a few minutes. As we headed back up the street, we ran into Chloe’s friend’s mom and invited E. to spend the night on Friday.
We continued up to the square where we saw a number of people at Little Shop of Stories. We talked books, bookstores, and volunteer opportunities. We ran into more friends. Rob and Chloe walked the two blocks up to join us. And we ran into even more friends.
And then I ran into my CAPS buddies.
While I still have doubts about finding my “place” here in Decatur, I know that little by little I’m finding it. And being able to walk to the variety of shops and events is what I’ve been searching for….
