For the first time in months, I had a weekend that truly felt like a weekend, despite having some catching up at work to do and an online course for my fire class that I needed to take.

On Memorial Day weekend, our street gets closed down for the Decatur Arts’ Fest. Not only did we enjoy looking at all the art and running into so many neighbors, I also worked a three hour volunteer shift in the kids’ area.

Rob and the girls spend much of Saturday and Sunday out at TimeGate Con with lots of other Doctor Who fans. Chloe even got to have her photo taken with little Amy Pond!

And then on Memorial Day, Rob and Chloe went out kayaking on the Chattahoochee. Camille and I took a lovely walk down to the “Super Secret” Kickstarter Backer Donut Party at Revolution Donuts. Back at home, we prepared for a nice pool party. Claire came over and Chloe came home. We spent time at the pool, made popsicles, ate dinner by the pool and generally had a lovely relaxing afternoon.
