As I sit here in my bed in the almost dark room, I am feeling quite at peace. No long list of things that must get done is hanging over me. No packing, unpacking, cleaning or cooking awaits me. This inner quiet is allowing me to open up and enjoy the happy noises around me. The waves crashing on the beach right outside my door (though eighteen stories down). The girls and their friends in the next room, in good moods after a fun outing, laughing, playing games and doing art projects together. I almost wish I could suspend time at this moment and soak up more than my fair share of the happiness.
