I know, I know, You are bored of hearing about it. And I’m bored of doing it. But, once it is done, we all feel a huge sense of accomplishment. We feel free to move on to other projects. A huge sigh of relief. And a feeling of a job well-done.
This week (we’re at weeks instead of months since we fell so far behind with my sciatica and our trip out west) the room under scrutiny was the living room. Cushions off the couch and chairs, vacuum inside the cracks, once we pulled out a dozen pencils.
Baskets emptied; homeschooling sorted out. Loose papers filed. Art supplies organized. Books dusted or tossed. (Yes, I’ve come to the point of clearing out books.) Baseboards and door washed. Knick-knacks reduced (but don’t touch my turtles.). Wii games gone through once again.
And then, we relaxed in the living room, knowing that we worked hard and accomplished the somewhat daunting task that was facing us.
And so are the days of our lives …. sigh. Will it get easier or, rather, more interesting?
