If you’ve been following along with me for any amount of time, I’m sure you are tired of hearing about my cleaning/de-cluttering strategy., called room of the week, though really “Room of the Month” these days.

Unfortunately for you, here I am posting about it again. Simply because I’m happy to have finally taken care of a room … now I’m only two rooms behind.

May was supposed to be my bedroom and the master closet (which contains my CD collection — a huge project).

But May? The first weekend we were in NYC for kindiefest. Then we went to LEAF. Then we left for our “Epic Trip Out West”. Room of the Month? Mission Not Accomplished.

June was supposed to be the living room. That room would be easy, other than the “homeschooling” (catch-all) baskets. I cringe. But we were still “Out West”.

July’s room is the dining room. An easy one. Five windows to wash, One table to clean, eight chairs to wipe down and check the padded feet. A buffet that doubles as my work desk (cables, papers, etc.) to clear out. Some baseboards to wipe down. A two hour job at max.

So yes, I opted for the easy choice of the dining room today. The next couple of weekends? I’ll tackle the “skipped” rooms. As Camille finishes up her homeschooling year, I hope that the living room will lose some of its clutter.

But for now, I’ll enjoy my sparkly, clean “office” aka the dining room.
