I had been doing so well at staying on top of everything and even moving forward on a number of projects. But after our trip to New York last weekend, I have managed to fall behind on just about everything, except for work. It is so frustrating to have a to-do list that is a mile long and watch it grow instead of shrink. I feel like I’m living in one of those gerbil wheels again, and this is not how I want to live.
Unfortunately, and fortunately I suppose, it is very hard for me to give up a “project” once I start it. But as I add on new projects, my time gets sucked away. I really do need to take a closer look at my various projects and figure out how to either give them up or reduce their demands on my time. I don’t like this feeling of drowning in a sea of my own creation.
