Shearing the Sheep

Last Saturday was a very fibery day for Camille. She spent the morning at a spinning class at STITCHES South and from there, after a pit stop at REI for some supplies for our upcoming epic trip out west, we spent a couple of hours at Sheep to Shawl at the Atlanta History Center. The girls got to watch a sheep being shorn then wash and card the wool. Camille drooled over the spinner’s wheels and learned about old ways for dyeing yarn. The girls got to dip candles, and Chloe worked on making a chair spindle. A gorgeous day out.

This is an entry for Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday.
