While the girls have certain favorite places to visit in NYC, I do try to make sure that we get to at least one new place each time we visit. This time, I decided it was about time for us to get to the Guggenheim. By the time we got there, after the subway ride from Brooklyn and the walk from the station, it was a little after ten, and the line to get in was wrapping around the corner… but it moved quickly and soon we were inside.

After getting tickets (both girls were free), we checked the backpack and stopped at the information desk to check out a kids’ activity pack. The pack was not overwhelming, but contained just enough materials to keep Chloe from getting “bored”. The walk up the circular ramp was exciting for both girls, plus the art was interesting to us all. Both girls particularly liked the Kandinsky paintings.

Chloe loved looking at the architecture of the building and spotting different shapes — circles (of course), triangles, and more. Unfortunately, photos aren’t allowed past the lobby, so I can’t show how engaged both girls were while we were there.

My Trekaroo review.
