What’s your idea for a perfect Sunday?

What’s your idea for a perfect Sunday? How would it differ from a typical Sunday? If it’s Sunday where you are, what kind of day is it so far?

A typical Sunday does not exist for us. Sometimes I wish it did, but then I realize I’d be giving up something I love, the lack of routine. Three Sundays ago we spent the day deep cleaning Camille’s room. Two Sundays ago we spent the day exploring Fort Lauderdale, going for a boat ride, taking a long walk and eating at a sidewalk restaurant across from the beach. Last Sunday we had breakfast at our friends’ house in Maryland. This coming Sunday, we plan to leave another friend’s house and drive to New Orleans. The following Sunday will likely be spent deep cleaning another couple of room in our house.

While this lack of routine and predictability might drive some folks nuts, I seem to thrive on it. When I get stuck in a rut (routine), I get bored and miserable and create new projects for myself. I really don’t need additional projects!

A perfect Sunday then likely involves exploring a new place, perhaps including a visit with some friends. It would be a busy, yet not hectic day. We’d get in some walking and perhaps a nice meal, as well.
