Photo Friday: Poolside in Fort Lauderdale

GIrls in the Pool

We managed to escape the winter craziness in Atlanta (school cancelled for FIVE days in a row) and find ourselves a in what seems like the only warm spot left, southeast Florida. The girls and I are tag-a-longs on a business trip of Rob’s here at the Ritz-Carlton in Fort Lauderdale. On our own travels, we don’t stay in hotels of this quality, but when someone else is paying the bills and making the “group rate” deals, it is fun to take advantage!

I’ve been working in the mornings, conference calls and all the rest, but getting to hear the ocean waves while I’m working cannot be beat (other than NOT working, I suppose). Late in the morning, the girls and I went to the pool for an apres-work swim … though I didn’t swim; it just isn’t hot enough for that yet.

The hotel is deserted. We were the only ones at the pool yesterday morning; there were more hotel staff than guests around. The staff seemed quite bored, in fact. The pool is heated, so as long as the girls stayed in it, they were happy. Getting out was another story. I enjoyed lounging and soaking in the sun and enjoying the view of the ocean. Aaaahhhh.

This is an entry for Delicious Baby’s Photo Friday.
