Pine Lake is bustling with Lakefest activities today! I can hear the music from our house (finally cool enought to have windows open!) and love seeing so many people out and about on this gorgeous fall day. Unfortunately, I have not been feeling very social this week and ended up spending only a short amount of time down at the lake shore taking in the sights and sounds and saying hello to so many friends and neighbors…
On the other hand, Chloe and Rob spent the entire day down amidst the hub-bub. Chloe scooted around, face-paint slowly wearing off. Art projects were created,; vegetarian fare consumed. In the early afternoon, after the pancake breakfast, Chloe and her new friend and another PL kid banded together to create an entry for the “Sandcastle Competition”. “Team Aztec Empire” built a very large sand compound on the beach….and came away with first place ribbons! Quirky it may be, but we do have a wonderful community here in PL.
