A few weeks ago, I requested tickets to the “VIP Preview” of the new exhibit WATER at Fernbank Museum of Natural History from Atlanta: 365 Days, 365 Things To Do….and we got them! Not only did we get to see a preview of the new exhibit, we also were able to see the IMAX film Mystery of the Nile as well! (Thanks, Atlanta 365!)

I tend to be highly critical of exhibits at museums. Generally they are more “flash” than content, and the “interactive” displays are not conducive to learning. This exhibit, however, was extremely well done. The girls and I were all interested in learning more and used the interactive displays (such as controlling a dam) to understand concepts being explained more deeply.

As a longtime Fernbank member, I have high hopes that the future exhibits will be like WATER!
