Like most people, I spend some time before a trip researching. I like to find out as much as I can in order to be prepared and not end up doing something silly like leaving the Grand Bazaar visit for a Sunday (when it is closed)….
In researching our trip to Turkey, I came across a website and a blog that were extremely useful in my planning.
My “go to” site for whatever I want to know about Turkey is Tom Brosnahan’s Turkey Travel Planner. The site’s volume of (mostly) accurate information about traveling in Turkey is astounding.
For a more personal, day to day view of Turkey, I love reading the blog Turkish Muse, written by an expat. Barbara writes about her own travels in Turkey as well as various aspects of living in a country so different from the one where she came from.
