friday morning I woke early and went down to the breakfast room to get some coffee. How depressing to know that there are so many great coffee shops nearby, yet be stuck drinking terrible hotel coffee. After the girls woke, we all went down to breakfast. Frozen Lender’s bagels in Brooklyn? No thanks. I had a yogurt.

We had a day full of plans, but a little spare time before noon. Camille had wanted to go to the Museum at FIT, but it didn’t open until noon, so instead we headed to the MoMA. The girls were free, so we only had to pay admission for me. After walking through the courtyard, we stumbled into the Shape Lab and never left. The lab is a fantastic area for kids to experiment with shapes in many different mediums.

We did have to leave to walk down to Bryant Park to meet up with my cousin who works for a fashion house near there. She gave us a tour of her offices, then we picked up lunch and ate at the park. The girls even got to ride on the carousel! After saying bye to my cousin, we walked back up to Rockefeller Center to go to a concert at Sirius! As we walked in the door of the building, we ran right into Mindy! She led us up to the 36th floor, where we saw Kenny and also Peter Gabriel!

After the Rhythm Child concert, we jumped on the N train and headed right back out to Brooklyn for our afternoon and evening at KindieFest.
