I am blessed with great travelers. I admit, that we have our share of butting heads, but overall my girls can hit the road or skies with ease. Nature or nurture? Probably a combination, I suppose.

Car trip? Not a problem. We’re equipped with healthy(ish) snacks, Robbie (our XM receiver), audiobooks and notebooks. These days, the girls also bring their DSes along for morphing photos and other silly fun, but we do limit screen time in the car, just as we limit it at home.

Hotel? The girls love it! Time in the pool, making dinner in the microwave, a huge array of breakfast choices, plus, if they are lucky, a little bit of Disney Channel (no cable at home).

I like driving and “Watching All the Cars Go By” (Keith Munslow). How fun it is to imagine who all these people on the road are and where they are heading! Yesterday we saw strange and mysterious trucks (Halliburton and Schlumberger), hail and rain, a haberdashery in a silo, wildflowers galore and more!

How lucky to have 2 good travelers and so many chances to travel. 🙂 Mine are good travelers but we don’t get as many chances to travel. We love it when we get to though.
