chloe woke up Wednesday morning and decided to add green food coloring to the milk in her morning cereal. last year, we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by adding green food coloring to eggs. Somehow neither of those celebratory meals quite hit that “Irish” spot.

Wednesday afternoon we headed up to the cabin to spend a few days with Phil and Barbara. Barbara did a better job at researching and preparation than I had done. When we arrived, she had bought the ingredients for and prepped a St. Patrick’s Day Vegetarian Dinner.

The girls, in turn, pitched in to help with the meal, which included potato-onion-leek soup, Irish soda bread, Irish stew, pease porridge, apple-orange bread pudding and, that classic Irish drink, green Perrier.
